La Tulipe Featured in The Monocle Handbook

The Fondation pour Recherches Médicales is proud to see La Tulipe featured in Switzerland: The Monocle Handbook, published in late 2025 by the international magazine Monocle.

The publication is part of Monocle’s renowned Handbook series, dedicated to destinations, architecture, design, culture, and lifestyle. The Switzerland edition presents a curated selection of remarkable places across the country, highlighting contemporary architecture, landscapes, cultural institutions, and local craftsmanship.

Described as both a practical and inspirational guide, the book is aimed at travelers, architecture enthusiasts, design lovers, and readers interested in discovering Switzerland’s cultural and urban identity. It notably explores cities such as Geneva, Zurich, and Basel, along with their most distinctive architectural and cultural landmarks.

The inclusion of La Tulipe in this international publication reflects the growing interest in its unique architecture and history. Designed between 1966 and 1972 by architect Jack Vicajee Bertoli, the building has been listed as part of Geneva’s heritage since October 5, 2015, and remains a strong architectural landmark within the city.

Beyond its scientific and biomedical mission, this recognition also contributes to the cultural and touristic visibility of the site by attracting international audiences interested in architecture, design, and urban heritage.

The Fondation pour Recherches Médicales is delighted to see La Tulipe highlighted in an internationally recognized publication, contributing to the architectural, tourist and cultural influence of Geneva.
